Mindful Eating – The Raisin Exercise
In this exercise, you will need two raisins or berries or any other similar small pieces of fruit. Preferably select a fruit that does not have a very smooth texture. If you keep it ready before the start of the exercise, it will help in reducing the distractions when we begin.
Once you have your fruit, try to find a calm and quiet place where you can sit. There is no particular position required for this exercise. You may sit on a chair with your feet on the ground or on the ground with your legs crossed, if you prefer. Just make sure you are comfortable. Try not to hunch your shoulders. Sit up straight, but do not tense your muscles. Allow yourself to feel relaxed in your posture.
